Everyday Contexts of Camera Phone Use: Steps Towards Technosocial Ethnographic Frameworks

2006. In Höflich, Joachim & Hartmann, Maren Eds. Mobile Communication in Everyday Life: An Ethnographic View. Berlin: Frank & Timme, 79-102. [pdf] [ebook].

This is a new revision of the camphone research, where I added to Daisuke's earlier paper by adding a stronger literature review on camphone research and framing our research as a particular mode of ethnographic analytis. This paper has probably the most extensive reflective discussion of our research methodology among our papers so far, and is for a book focused on ethnographic methods for mobile society research.

Color photos have been converted to grayscale in this [pdf].
